Atlanta Chiropractors are Doctors Too:

While it has been many decades since Chiropractors had to sue the AMA to get recognized in the Medical profession, there is no doubt about it, they are well trained doctors. Their approach to health however, differs from that of a Medical Doctor. Chiropractors realize that the body has the ability to heal itself. Medical doctors recognize this too, but the difference is in their approach about healing. Chiropractors believe that the bodies ability to heal lies in the communication that takes place within the body. Impede the communication and you have an issue with your health. Chiropractic adjustments are about aligning your body in such a way that the communication that takes place between the organs, brain and central nervous system is not impaired. So from a chiropractic perspective your back or neck pain is affecting more than just your neck and back.

Medical doctors as well recognize that communication in the body can have an impact on our overall health. Their solution, for the most part is to dumb down the bodies senses with prescription drugs, allow for rest and let the body use it's innate ability to heal over time. If this does not work then there are usually two options. Surgery, which may or may not make your situation better or they continue to dumb down the bodies senses with pain medication. Which one is better? Our goal is not to recommend one service above another but to inform the reader so that you can make the best choice for you and your families health.

  • The training of a Chiropractor is Similar to that of a Family Doctor
  • Chiropractors on Average have more hours in Classroom and Clinical Study than Medical Doctors
  • Chiropractors are licensed by the State.
  • Jack Lalanne was a Chiropractor.

Jack LaLanne As a Chiropractor

Before Jack LaLanne's death he gave an interview about being a chiropractor in California. When Jack was a chiropractor, the medical community, as a whole, looked down on this type of practice. In the interview Jack expressed that he had to cover up his being a Chiropractor. At the time many medical doctors where referring their patients to Jack to help them with their back and neck pains and Jack was having great success. Mr. Lalanne revealed in the article that if he had made known he was a chiropractor medical doctors would have stopped referring patients to him. Thankfully that type of thinking has changed for most in the medical community. It is interesting to note however, how prejudice can sometimes stand in the way of health and in a person recovering from a chronic condition.
